Masters!
OK, I’m no golf aficionado, far from it…I’ve been on the golf course, maybe 5 times. Two of those were for stories I was reporting on at work. The others: Failed attempts at swinging the club. However – one person who knows his stuff when it comes to the sport, my dear friend and former coworker, Van Applegate.
He’s started a new blog – all things golf. Check it out! And pay special attention to his latest post, He’s asking for your best Master’s memory. Share it!

Things I’m Digging Thursday
It’s my day off, so I’m trolling the internet for cool stuff, shopping online, responding to emails and drinking lots of coffee. Here are a few things I’ve come across that I think you should check out too
1. Harvey’s Cone of Shame:
2. Art from Jessica Durrant on Etsy...her watercolor prints are gorgeous! More of her work here.

3. Feed animals with just one click - on The Animal Rescue Site. Sign up for daily reminders and do 1 good thing every day.
4. My new Lily Pulitzer planner. Every year I get a new one in a different, gorgeous and girly print. I can’t live without my LP life planner!
5. Detox diet advice from the fabulous Cynthia Sass. Perfect for post-holiday ‘puffyness’ and a great way to cleanse your system for a healthy start to 2012. But, make sure it’s right for you! These pointers via Shape are really helpful.
6. Canine Companions for Independence: A Facebook friend of mine shared this organization with me, and I just love what they do. Read up and enjoy!
7. Another funny YouTube video: What a dog does when he wears pants:
8. Cinderollies: Stay tuned, because my favorite rollable comfy flats are coming out in new, fun colors! I now own them in red, black, silver and gold. Red will be available online soon, so keep checking their site! Your feet will thank you.
9. Skinny Holiday Recipes, courtesy of FabFitFun: Family get togethers packed with people and of course calorie-filled food don’t have to add the pounds… FFF’s list is both yummy and easy.
10. Carb lover’s diet! UM YES! Thank you Health.com!

11. P.S. I Made This. Crafts, clothes, jewelry, gadgets, gifts, etc. This site is fab for both the fashionista and the frugalista.
Just a Random Thank You.
Sometimes we forget to say ‘hey, you’re doing a great job.’ Well this is that kind of post. Just a little thank you to Pete, the genius who runs my website and countless others, in addition to his own web company and Frederick Scanner, Wave Jam,is really pretty awesome.
If you are thinking of starting your own website but don’t quite know how to go about it, get in touch with this guy. In my case, he took care of everything for me. And still does. To this day when I need something tweaked on my site, nikkiburdine.com, he does it ASAP. He’s creative, attentive and an actual nice guy. Rare combo. So, if you or your company needs a better online presence, contact Wave Jam.
That’s my little thank you. Thanks

A HUGE thank you to Talent Attach, for designing a new logo for me, new profile pictures, etc! But they’re not finished yet! I can’t wait to see what else they come up with! These guys rock!!

Flip Flop Wines
I love wine. I love charity. I love when I can combine two things I love. Which is exactly what Flip Flop Wines does!
For every bottle of flipflop wine purchased, Soles4Souls will distribute a pair of shoes to someone in need! Win. Win.
So the next time you’re thinking of trying a new vino, opt for the one that does more good. You can shop online here. To each, their own.

Link Love
Happy Thursday! Here’s some links I just adore.
1. Cat DJ’ing. Well, why not? Meow chicka meow meow.
2. Total Eclipse of the Moon. Miss the Solar Eclipse last night? Check it out here with pics.
3. Always a good site to find some hot shots. Life.com’s Daily Top Photos.
4. I’ll admit it. I love Rebecca Black’s “Friday.” You know you totes sing along to that catchy tune. But apparently people are making fun of the lyrics. Hmpf. My comfort is this list of songs whose lyrics are less appealing than RB’s. Enjoy on FunnyorDie.com.
5. What the boys are reading. Barstoool Sports.com. HA-larious website. Tons of guy-friendly humor, but also some stuff chicks dig too. And despite the (in my opinion) unnecessary profanity, its very well written. Also see Barstool Boston, Barstool New York, Barstool Philly, etc.
6. My sorority sister and friend, Allison Gatlin-Meadows has an adorable blog chocked full of fun stuff. Get to reading her randomness.
7. Your local animal shelter is in need of your help. Your vote, specifically. Head on over to ASPCA.org and cast your vote for your favorite animal safe-haven and help them win some much-needed cash.
8. Free stuff is awesome. Check out Cosmopolitan.com’s Freebie section and you could win some hawt items. You’re welcome.
9. Click to give. With just a few seconds and a click of your mouse, you can help feed homeless cats and dogs. Sign up for free daily emails to remind yourself, too. Free Kibble and Free Kibble Kat.
10. Shameless Plug. Like me. I desperately need your likes. Thanks.
Now go waste some time online.

Lists
I admit it, I sign up for way too many newsletters and emails. Literally every morning when I wake up my inbox is filled with 15% off here, free shipping there, check out this new dress! It only fuels my shopping addiction, I know…but I love it!
In addition to the obligatory 10% off emails, there are lots of perks to being on lists and a “member” to certain sites. Most of these shops, if they’re smart, have rewards for members on their birthdays!
On my birthday yesterday, I got a ton of emails for free stuff! Here’s a few worth mentioning:
-%15 off at Anthropology
-Free drink from Starbucks
-Free treat from Panera
-Free gift from Sephora
…and the list goes on.
So while some lists are worthless, others are more than worth it. Free latte? Don’t mind if I do!
Derby Preps
As the day approaches for the Kentucky Derby, I get more and more excited! Encouraging my excitement are a few emails I thought I’d share to get you in the mood for Derby Madness.
First, Derby has a new Triple Crown Announcer! Larry Collmus. To get a taste for his talent, watch the video below when he was calling the 7th at Monmouth Park. “My Wife Knows Everything,” “My Wife Knows Nothing.” So funny.
And secondly, one of my loves, Lilly Pulitzer, is offering up a free Derby Hat if you spend $250. A Derby towel if you spend $500! OK, twist my arm, I’ll buy a Lilly dress!
